Still unsure? Look through our FAQs

Some learners may struggle initially if they are unfamiliar with applying theory to case studies.  Also, learners can find calculations such as break-even and essay writing hard.  However, the content within Business for most units will relate to real-life examples.  If learners practise case study questions and implement structures like PEE (point,  evidence and explanation), they should have no problems achieving top grades.

You will not be required to purchase any books with this course.  We automatically include logins to our online e-Library which includes access to following eBook(s):

Pearson Edexcel International AS/A Level Business Student Book 1 –  Rob Jones (Pearson)

Pearson Edexcel International AS/A Level Business Student Book 2 –  Rob Jones (Pearson)

International A Level Mathematics – Maths will help with topics such as break-even, ratios and forecasting.  Also, if you are applying for degrees such as Economics or Finance, then Maths would help in this instance.

International A Level Economics – Overlaps in content include supply and demand, elasticity, market structures and globalisation.  Pathways lead onto degrees in Economics and Finance.

The Pearson Edexcel Business course can be taken worldwide except for the UK.  Content within the specification is adapted for international learners and the qualification is comparable to UK A Level standards.

There may be a few centres within the UK allowing you to take this specification but it is best to check with us beforehand.

AS and A levels are standalone qualifications, however the Full A Level carries more UCAS points than the AS Level.  It also requires more study hours as follows:

You will see the difference in the content above under ‘syllabus’ but you can also refer to our article on ‘what is as level’ for more information.

You will receive access and support for two years, however you can complete it much sooner if you want to.  Exams for this subject fall in January, June and October each year and therefore you are able to choose which exam sitting you want to apply for.  We have more information on exam timetables here.
