If you want to develop your knowledge of Anatomy & Physiology so that you can embark on a rewarding career or maybe you are already working in a related field and want to improve your career prospects, then this is the course for you.
From careers in medicine and physiotherapy to ergonomic, product design and the health and fitness industry, Anatomy and Physiology is an important subject.
Anatomy is the science which deals with the description of the structure of cells, tissues, organs and organisms.
Physiology is the science which deals with the study of the function of cells, tissues, organs and organisms, which tries to explain with the application of physics and chemistry. Anatomy is the study of the structures of body parts and their relationships to one another. Physiology is the study of the functions of the body.
The Distance Learning Anatomy & Physiology course will help you understand the fundamentals of cell chemistry and biology, looking at the various organ systems of the body. Students will gain a knowledge of the muscular and skeletal systems; also covering the subject of genetics and reproduction.
You may want to do this course in order to support further study at University. Whilst this course does not provide UCAS points for University, it may be used to show that you have a good foundation of knowledge in this subject already.
Job roles include personal trainer, massage therapist, teaching and physio.
You do not need any prior learning knowledge or experience to take this course. It is openly available to anyone who wishes to take part in a highly rewarding home study course, although you would be expected to have a reasonable standard of literacy.
You have the freedom to start the course at any time and continue your studies at your own pace for a period of up to 12 months from initial registration with the full support of your Tutor.

• Reproductive system
• Female and male reproductive system
You must successfully complete a series of assessments. Once all assessments and activities have been completed and you have met the required outcomes, you will then be awarded your certificate. The good news is, there is no final exam.
At the end of this course successful learners will receive a Certificate of Achievement from the Quality License Scheme and a Learner Unit Summary (which lists the components the learner has completed as part of the course). Learn Now Distance Learning College is a reseller for OSC.
