Course Information

This IGCSE Physics CAIE Course will help you understand the technological world in which we live, and allow you to take an informed interest in science and scientific developments. You will learn about the basic principles of Physics through a mix of theoretical and practical studies. You will also develop an understanding of the scientific skills essential for further study at Cambridge International A Level, skills which are useful in everyday life.

As you progress, you will gain an understanding of how science is studied and practised, and become aware that the results of scientific research can have both good and bad effects on individuals, communities and the environment. Grades 9-1 are available.

With our IGCSEs, they are usually studied over one year, however if you would prefer to take your IGCSE course over two years, we will provide an additional year free of charge. Please let us know if you require an extension on your enrolment form.

    FAQs

The combination of knowledge and skills in Cambridge IGCSE (9–1) Physics gives learners a solid foundation for further study. Students who achieve grades 9 to 4 are well prepared to follow a wide range of courses including Cambridge International AS & A Level Physics, or the equivalent.

Cambridge IGCSEs are accepted by leading Universities and employers around the works as evidence of academic achievement. Many Universities require a combination of AS & A' Levels and IGCSEs or equivalent to meet their entry requirements.

Before you start your tutor will contact you to welcome you and, if you’re new to Learn Now, help you understand what study will be like. They’ll also clarify how and when they can be contacted, and how quickly they will respond to you.

Once you’ve started your tutor will mark and provide feedback on your assignments and support your progress throughout the course.

For this course you will take paper 6 which is an alternative to taking a practical test. With this paper, questions will be based on experimental skills which will be covered throughout the course.

The IGCSE is an international alternative to the GCSE and as the subjects are normally exam based only, make them ideal for students who are unable to attend a local school or college.

IGCSEs are internationally recognised and as well as being available in the UK, are also available worldwide. They are recognised by leading universities and employers worldwide, and are an international passport to progression and success.

It all depends on when you enrol. You will need to check the exam dates for your IGCSE subject and the number of guided learning hours to ensure that you can achieve your goals.
