This IGCSE Physics Online Course with CAIE will help you understand the technological world in which we live, and allow you to take an informed interest in science and scientific developments. You will learn about the basic principles of Physics through a mix of theoretical and practical studies. You will also develop an understanding of the scientific skills essential for further study at Cambridge International A Level, skills which are useful in everyday life.

As you progress, you will gain an understanding of how science is studied and practised, and become aware that the results of scientific research can have both good and bad effects on individuals, communities and the environment.

What can I do with IGCSE Physics?

The combination of knowledge and skills in Cambridge IGCSE (9–1) Physics gives learners a solid foundation for further study. Students who achieve grades 9 to 4 are well prepared to follow a wide range of courses including Cambridge International AS & A Level Physics, or the equivalent.

Cambridge IGCSEs are accepted by leading Universities and employers around the works as evidence of academic achievement. Many Universities require a combination of AS & A’ Levels and IGCSEs or equivalent to meet their entry requirements.

Previous Knowledge Required

There are no previous entry requirements for this course, however students are expected to have a reasonable standard of literacy. 

You have the freedom to start the course at any time and continue your studies at your own pace for a period of up to 24 months from initial registration with the full support of your Tutor.

Assessments

Students will be required to arrange and pay for their examinations at a CAIE approved centre. We can provide an extensive list of these centres for you.

IGCSE Exams
There are three exams for the full IGCSE qualification. The length of each exam is as follows:

Paper 2- 45 min
Paper 4 – 1 hour 15 min
Paper 6 – 1 hour
