This IGCSE ICT Online Course CAIE will encourage you to develop lifelong skills, which will be useful in your work across the curriculum and prepare you for future employment.

You will develop an understanding of the implications of technology in society, including social, economic and ethical uses and awareness of the ways ICT can help in home, learning and work environments.

What can I do with IGCSE ICT?

IGCSE ICT could lead on to a more vocationally-related course or further study of A’ Levels.

Cambridge IGCSEs are accepted by leading Universities and employers around the works as evidence of academic achievement. Many Universities require a combination of AS & A’ Levels and IGCSEs or equivalent to meet their entry requirements.

Previous Knowledge Required

There are no previous entry requirements for this course, however students are expected to have a reasonable standard of literacy. 

You have the freedom to start the course at any time and continue your studies at your own pace for a period of up to 24 months from initial registration with the full support of your Tutor.

Assessments

Students will be required to arrange and pay for their examinations / practicals at a CAIE approved centre. We can provide an extensive list of these centres for you.

IGCSE Exams
There are three exams for the full IGCSE qualification. The length of each exam is as follows:

Paper 1 – 2 hour
Paper 2 – 2 hour 30 min
Paper 3 – 2 hour 30 min

Practical Exam
Paper 2 and paper 3 are practical exams. You will need to ensure that your centre is able to administer these exams.

The practical exams will comprise of a number of tasks to be taken under examination conditions which will consist of:

  • Website authoring.
