Understanding Autism Level 3 QLS Course

Autism is part of a range of related developing disorders known as autistic spectrum disorders (ASD). They begin in childhood and last through adulthood. Autism Awareness can cause:

  • Difficulties with social interaction
  • impaired language and communication skills
  • unusual patterns of thought and physical behaviour

There is currently no cure for Autism Awareness. However specialist education such as the Autism Awareness Course can help improve symptoms. This course will allow you to become customary with numerous approaches to autism, have increased awareness of how to obtain a diagnosis and enable you to understand genetic environmental causes of autism. The Distance Learning  Autism Awareness course will also explain how research in other conditions can help research into autism.

This course will provide you with a better awareness of the term “autism” and “autistic spectrum disorder” (ASD).

What can you do with Understanding Autism Level 3?

This course will allow you to appreciate different approaches to understanding autism.  This will help you if you are looking to work within a hospital, school environment or mental health.

Previous Knowledge Required

There are no previous entry requirements for this course, however students are expected to have a reasonable standard of literacy. 

You have the freedom to start the course at any time and continue your studies at your own pace for a period of up to 24 months from initial registration with the full support of your Tutor.

The only other fee you will need to pay is for your exams which is due approximately six months prior and this will be paid directly to the exam centre.

Assessments

You must successfully complete a series of assessments. Once all assessments and activities have been completed and you have met the required outcomes, you will then be awarded your certificate. The good news is, there is no final exam.

Course Outcome

Once you have successfully completed this course, you will receive a certificate of achievement in Understanding Autism Level 3 from the Quality License Scheme. You will also receive a learner unit summary which will list the components you have completed as part of your course.
