Course Information

The Mental Health Nursing course will help you to support an individual’s recovery. You will cover a brief history on Mental Health Nursing along with Legislation. You will learn about interventions such as counselling approaches, CBT and working with families. You will also gain an insight into the medications used in mental health along with their effects.

What does a Mental Health Nurse do?

A mental health nurse builds trusting relationships with patients They will also administer medication, build care plans for the individual and liaise with other health care professionals.

Previous Knowledge Required

You do not need any prior learning knowledge or experience to take this course. It is openly available to anyone who wishes to take part in a highly rewarding home study course, although you would be expected to have a reasonable standard of literacy.

You have the freedom to start the course at any time and continue your studies at your own pace for a period of up to 12 months from initial registration with the full support of your Tutor.

Assessments

You must successfully complete a series of assessments. Once all assessments and activities have been completed and you have met the required outcomes, you will then be awarded your certificate. The good news is, there is no final exam.

Awarding Organisation
