This IGCSE English Literature Edexcel Course will help you develop the ability to read, understand and respond to a wide range of literary texts from around the world. You will also develop an appreciation of the ways in which writers achieve their literary effects.
You will explore, through literature, the cultures of your own and other societies and find enjoyment in reading literature understanding its influence on individuals and societies. For this specification, grades 9-1 are available.
IGCSE English Literature could lead on to further study in English at A-level.
There are no previous entry requirements for this course, however students are expected to have a reasonable standard of literacy.
You have the freedom to start the course at any time and continue your studies at your own pace for a period of up to 24 months from initial registration with the full support of your Tutor.
The IGCSE English Literature Online Course has two modules you will need to cover.
Students will be required to arrange and pay for their examinations at an Edexcel approved centre. We can provide an extensive list of these centres for you.
IGCSE Exams
There are two exams for the full IGCSE qualification. The length of each exam is as follows:
Paper 1 – 2 hour
Paper 2 – 1 hour 30 min
