This Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Level 2 Course is ideal for anyone wishing to gain a knowledge and understanding of this subject. You will also find this course extremely valuable if you are looking for a progression route for further training whilst employed.
In this ever-changing world, everyone needs a basic understanding of ICT. ICT is used in our every day lives such as at work, in the classroom and for leisure purposes.
Teaching students how to be competent basic users of ICT technologies is an important role, ensuring that they will be successful in their academic and work careers, and so they can efficiently participate in a modern technical society.
This home study ICT course will help students develop an understanding of how ICT influences them in their everyday life. Worldwide research has shown that ICT can lead to improved student learning and better teaching methods. A report made by the National Institute of Multimedia Education in Japan, proved that an increase in student exposure to educational ICT through curriculum integration has a significant and positive impact on student achievement, especially in terms of knowledge, comprehension, practical skills and presentation skills.
ICT Level 2 courses are intended to support students as they seek to improve their ICT skills.
Achieving this Certificate should increase your confidence and motivation, and the skills you gain will be valuable in the workplace o in any further learning.
You do not need any prior learning knowledge or experience to take this course. It is openly available to anyone who wishes to take part in a highly rewarding home study course, although you would be expected to have a reasonable standard of literacy.
You have the freedom to start the course at any time and continue your studies at your own pace for a period of up to 12 months from initial registration with the full support of your Tutor.
For the ICT Level 2 course you will cover the following content:-
There are no exams at the end of this course and assessments is based purely on coursework only.
You must successfully complete a series of assessments. Once all assessments and activities have been completed and you have met the required outcomes, you will then be awarded your certificate. The good news is, there is no final exam.
At the end of this course successful learners will be awarded a Certificate of Achievement by Abstract Education and a Learner Unit Summary (which lists the details of all of the units you have completed as part of your course).
The Level 2 ICT Course has been benchmarked at a level 2 which would give you some indication as to the difficulty of this course. I.e., GCSE would be equivalent to Level 2 and A’ Level would be equivalent to Level 3.
You will have no other fees to pay with this course. The course enrolment fee includes access to support, course materials, certification and registration with the awarding body.
