The term infection control is used throughout the healthcare sector and is an integral part of the industry.
Our Infection Control Course will help learners understand infection and hand hygiene along with controlling infection and safe waste disposal.
It relates to all aspects of health, welfare and the protection of personnel. GP surgeries, care homes, hospitals and all other healthcare services continue to ensure the management and implementation of infection control strategies throughout their premises.
There are no previous entry requirements for this course, however students are expected to have a reasonable standard of literacy. You have the freedom to start the course at any time and continue your studies at your own pace for a period of up to 330 days.
The online materials include quizzes and activities, as well as a Self-Assessment Tool to help reinforce learning as students work through the course.

Upon successful completion of this course, you will be awarded your Certificate which will be in a pdf format.

Workbooks are included that contain questions and exercises covering all of the learning outcomes and assessment criteria. These can be completed on-screen or printed out and filled in by hand. Completion and manager / assessor sign-off provides evidence towards meeting the knowledge and competence requirements of each of the units.
