If you want to develop your knowledge of domestic animal care so that you can embark on a rewarding career or you are already working in a related field and want to improve your career prospects, then this is the course for you. Anyone who looks after cats or dogs have a moral and legal responsibility to ensure that the welfare needs of animals in their care are met.
You will find the Distance Learning Domestic Animal Care course useful whether you are a pet owner or indeed you want to care for animals as part of your career path.
The course will enable you to become a sensitive and knowledgeable carer of animals whether they are young or old. You will gain a detailed knowledge of nutrition to ensure your pets remain healthy and study behavioural training methods to ensure that they are well behaved, socialised and happy.
In fact, this course is particularly suited to future and current pet owners who would like to expand their knowledge of caring for animals as a pet owner or working in the animal care sector of professional training and care.
You may want to go into pet sitting or dog walking with this certificate. Alternatively, this course may be a stepping stone for you to carry out further study afterwards.
You do not need any prior learning knowledge or experience to take this course. It is openly available to anyone who wishes to take part in a highly rewarding home study course, although you would be expected to have a reasonable standard of literacy.
You have the freedom to start the course at any time and continue your studies at your own pace for a period of up to 12 months from initial registration with the full support of your Tutor.
You must successfully complete a series of assignments. Once all assignments and activities have been completed satisfactorily, you will then be awarded your certificate. The good news is, there is no final exam.
You will have dedicated Tutor Support for 12 months. All assignments are marked by one of our professional Tutors who will offer regular feedback and guide you through your course. You must have access to email in order to contact your Tutor.
You will be provided with the telephone number for your dedicated Student Support Team who will be available for any other queries that you may have whilst completing your course. You can be assured that you will receive unlimited support for your home study course, so there is no need to struggle or feel isolated during your studies.

You will have access to a dedicated personal tutor who will be there to help you through your assignments.
