Cambridge IGCSE Travel and Tourism
The Cambridge specification will develop practical skills across a range of working roles, as well as providing a global and local perspective on travel and tourism.
Many people all over the world will travel outside their usual environment. Whether it is a day at the aquarium, visiting a national park or going abroad, these all fall within Travel and Tourism.
When we think of these activities, we can look into all the elements that make up the Travel and Tourism industry:
- Transport such as the bus, car, trains, coaches and planes
- Accommodation such as hotels, campsites and guesthouses
- Attractions such as aquariums, theme parks, museums and areas of beauty
- Services like tour operators, insurance and travel agents
The industry is aimed at people who travel for pleasure, leisure or business and is constantly growing.
With the IGCSE Travel and Tourism Course, you will gain an overview of the industry, and learn about popular destinations, customer care, working procedures, travel and tourism products and services, and marketing and promotion.
