Course Information

If you want to develop your knowledge of Child Psychology so that you can embark on a rewarding career or you are already working in a related field and want to improve your career prospects, then this is the course for you. You will find this course particularly useful if you find children’s behaviour fascinating and would like to gain more insight into their complex minds and emotions.

The Distance Learning Level 3 Child Psychology course will give you the skills needed to help children reach their full potential and become happy and balanced adults. Students will find this course perfect and most insightful, should they wish to gather knowledge about how a child’s mind works and why they behave and react to situations as they do.

This Child Psychology course will help to give you a much clearer knowledge of the importance of play in a child’s life, how children think and feel and how they develop in terms of language and social interaction.

What can you do with Child Psychology Level 3?

You could find work helping children and young people overcome difficulties and further their educational and psychological development.

You could specialise further within your branch of psychology or take on a research project leading to a PhD qualification.

Alternatively, you could also look for work in childminding or a nursery.

With experience, you could become a key worker for one or more children. You’ll monitor their progress and share information about their development with parents or carers.

As an experienced nursery worker you could specialise in working with children with learning difficulties, physical difficulties or mental health problems.

You could also progress to room leader, senior nursery worker or centre manager.

You could also study towards a higher education qualification in early years or child development. You could then move into management or early years teaching.

Previous Knowledge Required

You do not need any prior learning knowledge or experience to take this course. It is openly available to anyone who wishes to take part in a highly rewarding home study course, although you would be expected to have a reasonable standard of literacy.
