A Distance Learning Course is the ideal way to gain a qualification without having the worry of trying to fit your studies around your everyday life.  You can complete your studies in your own time and we are on hand seven days a week to help you plan your future.

Course Description

This IGCSE History Course is ideal for anyone wishing to gain a knowledge and understanding of this subject. You will also find this course extremely valuable if you are looking for a progression route for further training whilst employed.

This course will help students develop an understanding of past events. In order to understand the present, we need to look at past events and observe how they influence the current state of the world. It would be impossible to understand the current social, economic and political climate without gaining a knowledge of events during the 20th century.

  • Unit 1: 19th century core content: What caused the First World War?
  • Unit 2: Depth Study: Russia 1905-1941
  • Unit 3: 20th century core content: International Relations since 1919
  • Unit 4: Depth Study: Israelis and Palestinians 1945-1994
The notes and assignments for all units have been clearly set out for you. All the factual information required for the examination is in the notes.

We have deliberately designed the course to make it as interactive as possible with lots of self-assessment exercises for you to carry out. But we don’t leave it there for we give you comprehensive answers so that you can gauge how much you have learned.  As well as that, we set you practice exam-type questions which your tutor will mark and give you valuable feedback on.

Previous Knowledge Required

You do not need any prior learning knowledge or experience to take this course. This course is openly available to anyone who wishes to take part in a highly rewarding home study course, although you would be expected to have a reasonable standard of literacy. You will receive the entire package of course materials in a single dispatch together with dedicated Tutor Support for 12 months.  All assignments are marked by one of our professional Tutors who will offer regular feedback and guide you through your course. Postal assignments cannot be accepted without prior permission from the tutor and you must have access to email in order to contact your Tutor.

You will be provided with the telephone number for your dedicated Student Support Team who will be available for any other queries that you may have whilst completing your course.
