Course Description

If you want to develop your knowledge of nutrition so that you can embark on a career as a Nutrition Consultant or you are already working in a related field and want to improve your career prospects, then this is the course for you.

With the many dietary options that are increasingly available sometimes it is difficult to know what a healthy diet really is.

Nutrition, nourishment, or aliment, is the supply of materials - food - required by organisms and cells to stay alive. In science and human medicine, nutrition is the science or practice of consuming and utilizing foods. A nutritionist advises a person on the nutritional value of foods which allows them to make better choices of food.

The Distance Learning Nutrition Consultant course will help you learn what consitutes a balanced diet according to established nutritional science and equips you with the skills and knowledge to advise others. You will understand the dietary needs for different people and will become confident in giving advice.
