Course Description

Holiday Reps are also known as Family Reps, Resort Reps or Overseas Reps. They are responsible for the smooth running of the holiday from the holidaymaker’s arrival in the resort through to their departure. They are usually responsible for several complexes.

Their main duties include the following:

  • Accommodation Health and Safety Checks
  • Accommodation Visits
  • Conducting Welcoming Meetings
  • Resolving customer complaints/queries promptly
  • Selling Tour Operators Products i.e. excursions, merchandise etc
  • Providing resort information to the customer
  • Providing excellent Customer Service
  • Completing Report Forms and daily paperwork
  • Airport Transfers

This course is designed to bring you to a level of knowledge that will help you apply for a Holiday Rep position within the Travel Industry with confidence.†

After successful completion of this programme students will be eligible to apply for†Holiday Rep, Children's Rep, Transfer Rep, Overseas Entertainer, Ski Rep, Sun Rep, Camp Courier etc.

Previous Knowledge Required

You do not need any prior learning knowledge or experience to take this course. This course is openly available to anyone who wishes to take part in a highly rewarding home study course.

You have the freedom to start the course at any time and continue your studies at your own pace for a period of up to 12 months from initial registration with the full support of your Tutor.

Assessment

You must successfully complete a series of activities and assessments guided by your Tutor. This will be followed by a written examination where you must obtain 80% or above to pass. The Final Examination will be all year round at the IAOT's Head Office in Waterford Airport, Ireland. Alternatively you can take your exam at a reputable college. The college must meet with the IAOT's approval and must follow the guidelines set down by the IAOT to facilitate the exam. In the event that the college charge a fee to facilitate the exam, the student must meet the cost associated with it.

The Final Examination will be held under supervision and is NOT an open book examination.

Please note the course fees are non-refundable.
