Course Description

If you want to develop your knowledge of English Law so that you can embark on a rewarding career or maybe you are already working in a related field and want to improve your career prospects, then this is the course for you.

The Distance Learning Introduction to English Law course will help you develop a solid understanding of the fascinating developments in English Law over the years, whilst remaining a useful and interesting subject to study.

English law is the legal system of England and Wales and the basis of common law, legal systems in the Republic of Ireland, Commonwealth countries and the United States.

The course will help you gain a thorough understanding of the principles and practice of English law; understanding the different ways laws have been created and how they are interpreted. You will become familiar with the four main areas of law, such as family law, contract law, criminal law and tort law.

What can you do with Introduction to English Law Level 3

As well as solicitors’ offices and barristers’ chambers, you could work for law courts, local authorities, estate agents or the police.
