Course Description

With our IAB Level 2 Award in Manual Bookkeeping QCF you will gain the knowledge needed to keep financial records using double-entry manual bookkeeping system, gain a nationally recognised qualification from International Association of Bookkeepers and develop the theoretical and practical knowledge to progress further computerised bookkeeping and account courses.

On successful completion of this course you can apply to become a member of IAB and use the letters MIAB after your name.

This course is designed for study by distance learning

Assessment

The Level 2 Award in Manual Bookkeeping is assessed in three parts: an online knowledge test, three tutor marked assessments, and an external examination. The exam can be taken at one of the IAB approved test centres which are located throughout the UK, or an 'on demand' basis subject to notice and availability.

Previous Knowledge Required

You do not need any prior learning knowledge or experience to take this course. This home study course is openly available to anyone who wishes to take part in a highly rewarding home study course, although you would be expected to have a reasonable standard of literacy.

You have the freedom to start the course at any time and continue your studies at your own pace for a period of up to 12 months from initial registration with the full support of your Tutor..

Awarding Organisation

Upon successful completion of the examination and all assessments you will achieve a Level 2 Award in Manual Bookkeeping accredited by the IAB (International Association of Bookkeepers). That means that it is a level 2 nationally recognised qualification approved by the regulatory authorities in England (Ofqual), Wales (Welsh Government) and Northern Ireland (CCEA).

IAB stands for the International Association of Bookkeepers, which is an awarding body of qualifications and a professional association for qualified bookkeepers. IAB qualifications are developed by education professionals, members of the IAB, employers and other relevant organisations to ensure that their courses meet the highest industry-approved standards.
